Hailing from West Orlando, Florida, Fletch Power is an LA-based cinematographer, film photographer, and the recipient of the 2021 American Society of Cinematographers’ Master Class scholarship. He’s captured the likes of Dave Chapelle, Swae Lee, and Cordae in addition to working on projects for North Face, iHeartRadio, and Live Nation Entertainment.
A product of Caribbean immigrant parents, he grew up listening to his mother, aunties, and grandmothers tell stories about talking spiders and wise monkeys, which sparked his passion for evocative storytelling.
One of his favorite early memories is afternoons spent racing his shadow.Twenty years later, he now realizes that his childhood fascination with his shadow was not so much about light, as it was what the *lack* of light created. Now, he carries on the family torch of bringing stories to life by using shadow and light to paint moving pictures
